Product Details
CarboThix 2 / Standard is an instantly thickening fast curing two-component silicate resin intended primarily for bonding of rock-bolts and cable anchors. CarboThix 2 / Standard was developed to improve the productivity of ground support installations in underground mining and tunnelling applications. Typical applications of CarboThix 2 / Standard include installation of injection rock-bolts, both steel or GFRP, and consolidation of rock in a location where it is necessary to control the flow of resin and prevent excessive leaks (ceiling).

Two-component silicate injection resin
Fast reaction
Reaction begins immediately after mixing both components in a 1:1 ratio, gelation occurs within a short time and the resin behaves thixotropically, however resin remains pumpable.
Thixotropic behaviour
The resin does not flow on its own in a short while, its movement must be forced by the pressure of the injection pump. This prevents leakage or dripping when working in the ceiling.
High strength
The resin reaches early strength in a few seconds after application and the rock bolts become self-supporting in a short period of time. The final strength is high.
Long service life
The tested service life under normal conditions significantly exceeds 50 years.
High chemical resistance and impermeability
Carbothix resin offers high chemical resistance and has close-cell structure.
