Minova’s Expandable Rock Bolt (ERB) is a full column anchored solution that forms a mechanical interlock with the borehole wall, delivering fast, reliable rock reinforcement with assured quality and guaranteed mechanical properties. The bolt comprises a folded steel tube with an upper bushing and an inflation bushing welded at each end; an adjustable face plate is available as an option. Installed undersized and inflated with high‑pressure water, ERB provides immediate support, accommodates variations in borehole diameter, and requires no cement grout or chemicals. ERB is offered in two types—ERB (cold‑formed) with typical elongation around 15% and ERB+ (cold‑formed and normalised) with typical elongation around 30%—and in load classes of 120, 160 and 240 kN with standard lengths to suit common headings. Production follows ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, ensuring traceability, consistent properties and short lead times, with protective coatings available for challenging environments.
