Product Details

GeoFlex BB is a non-foaming, low viscous, elasticized two-component silicate-isocyanate resin of high bond strength and slower reaction. GeoFlex BB Component A is a special sodium silicate with additives. GeoFlex BB (includes black pigment) Component B is a modified polyisocyanate. The mixture of these two components creates a tough, elastic, solid silicate resin (organic-mineral resin). Geoflex BB is primarily intended for consolidating loose material (ballast bonding method), pavement stabilisation and protection against erosion, solidification and stabilisation of the face-to-track transition zones, strengthening of special construction structures (e.g. gabions walls).

Fast reaction

The curing reaction is fast but optimized to allow the resin to be applied optionaly by gravity penetration (ballast bonding). 80% of final strength is typically achieved within 1 hour of application.

Optimized penetration

Viscosity is optimized along with reaction speed for the gravity penetration method in a coarse-grained loose ground environment (for example ballast)

High bond to the substrate in dry environments

When applied by the injection method ni ground, the resin can be used in dry or wet environments, however, for surface applications, higher strength is achieved on dry substrate.

High strength and resistance to dynamic loads

The final resin has sufficient strength for the given purpose and is low sensitive to shear and dynamic stress.

High chemical resistance

For an application near or on the ground surface, Geoflex BB is highly resistant to acidic and alkaline environments in common concentrations.
