Minova’s Self Drilling Hollow Bolt & UniPass is a complete system that combines drilling and grouting in a single operation to accelerate reinforcement in unstable or fractured ground. The load‑bearing element is a hollow bar with rolled continuous R‑threads; bars are extended with couplers to achieve the required length when the drill rig’s feed is limited or working under low headroom. Patented couplers safely transfer impact energy to the sacrificial drill bit, while bar nuts with a spherical cap maintain secure load paths from plate to bar and compensate angle deviations. The system operates to carry compressive and tensile foundation loads. Drilling may use water or air flush, or simultaneous drilling and grouting to form the grout body efficiently. For permanent works, corrosion protection options include hot‑dip galvanising and TwinCoat (galvanised plus epoxy).
